Our Brisbane

Brisbane is a modern river city which embraces the Brisbane River as it snakes its way from the forested hinterland to the sea at Moreton Bay.  Australia's third largest city, it is home to more than 1.6 million people in a sub-tropical climate. Brisbane provides a pleasant atmosphere for work....
...... and for play.  Located on the edge the city's downtown area and on the shore of the Brisbane River lies South Bank.  Redeveloped after being the site for Expo 88, South Bank is home to museums, art galleries, the international convention and exhibition centre, the conservatorium and the State Library as well as university campuses and modern hotels.  A special feature is the artificial beach and swimming area popular with children of all ages -- a different way to spend the lunch-hour.
Jacaranda-lined parks and streets provide a colourful place for families to grow.  In summer months the smell of BBQs permeates the air for lunch and evening meals.
When the moon and stars are out...
...... the nightlife begins.  Clubs, bars, theatres, cinemas and other attractions bring the people out to enjoy.....
....life.  Many singles and couples live in the numerous downtown apartments with river views.  The Storey Bridge weaves a magic over night-time foreshore strolls.  And then...
.......there is Riverfest, when the whole of Brisbane comes out to celebrate the river with music, food and a spectacular fireworks display as summer begins.
All the while the spectacular beaches of the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast are just a hour or two away.
